Porsche Classic and its Exclusive Manufaktur will now be able to take customer requests to build bespoke and completely custom Porsche restomods.

Porsche has gathered two of its specialized departments, “Porsche Classic” and “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur,” to bring a special few vehicles to lucky customers. The Sonderwunsch program, as they are calling it, will now take orders from customers who want a one-of-a-kind Porsche and set them up with a team of Porsche representatives to plan, design, and carry out the build of their very own one-off Porsche.
If a customer is approved for their desired project, a team of Porsche members can meet them in Zuffenhausen, the Atlanta or Los Angeles Porsche Experience Centre, or over Zoom to discuss the matters of their build.

40 U.S. Porsche Dealers Will Compete To Build The Best Classic Porsche
Porsche has issued a challenge to its dealers to build and restore any classic Porsche model they like.

Many companies across the world have dedicated their work to designing and building some of the most excellent classic Porsches. Garages like Singer, Sharkwerks, Workshop 5001, Guntherwerks, and RUF are just a small handful of the artists and mechanics that operate at the highest level.
Now, none other than Porsche themselves are getting into the game. The 2021 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge, as announced by the German automaker, is a U.S.-based challenge issued to 40 Porsche dealerships to see who can build the best classic Porsche.
The Porsche Carrera GT is a very special car but thanks to a unique paint job, this example is even more unique.
Adorning the exterior of this Carrera GT is a shade of green known as Dark Olive Metallic that was ordered through Porsche’s Paint-To-Sample program. YouTuber TheTFJJ recently had the opportunity to check out the car up-close.
According to the YouTuber, the car forms part of the Octane Collection in the UK and the Dark Olive Metallic paint is contrasted by an Ascot Brown interior that has luscious leather across the seats, transmission tunnel, dashboard, and steering wheel.
Few carmakers are as concerned as Porsche with keeping their classic models in a roadworthy condition. The German company’s Classic division has recently announced a restoration challenge that will see each of the 40 competing U.S. dealerships take on the task of restoring a classic model over the coming months.
