Warrior Run students to learn remotely into new year

By Rick Dandes rdandes@thedanvillenews.com Dec 22, 2020 Dec 22, 2020 TURBOTVILLE — Students in the Warrior Run School District will have to wait a few extra days into the New Year before in-person learning resumes. At Monday night s board of director s meeting, it was decided that students would learn remotely Jan. 4-6 before the hybrid model of learning re-starts that Thursday and Friday.  The Warrior Run hybrid model has all students learning virtually on Mondays, followed by alternating in-person attendance for the rest of the week. Superintendent Alan Hack noted that the idea behind remote learning for Jan. 4-6 had to do with being cautious after a holiday — he made reference to the uptick in COVID positives in the area after Thanksgiving.

Tom Wolf’s mandate ended the spring high school seasons before they started last April, both Kish and Glenn thought more about the kids than themselves. And their thoughts went beyond Hughesville and Montgomery. They both felt horrible that athletes throughout the region could not play the games they love.
