The once-promising NRL career of Jamil Hopoate could soon be over after shocking allegations he punched his partner in a club car park after a pokie session.
The off-contract Brisbane Broncos player faces six charges for allegedly spitting on security staff and getting thrown out of Club Panthers in Port Macquarie, NSW, on December 27 last year.
Court documents allege the son of controversial Manly Sea Eagles great John Hopoate punched his de facto partner of six years with a right clenched fist .
The punch allegedly caused her to stumble backwards and caused her to fall to the ground some distance from where she had been hit.

Subscriber only The driver of stolen Landcruiser which led police on a chase into Coffs Harbour has evaded capture after crashing into a parked car. Just before 11pm on Thursday, December 31, highway patrol officers were doing speed checks on the Pacific Highway at Corindi Beach when they detected a Toyota Landcruiser allegedly exceeding the speed limit. Police were unable to stop the vehicle and a pursuit commenced towards Coffs Harbour. Officers then deployed tyre deflation devices in Korora which successfully deflated the tyres, however the Landcruiser continued into Price Street where it collided with a parked van. Three occupants ran from the car before police arrested an 18-year-old passenger and he was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station and charged with breach of bail and carry in conveyance.

The son of footy bad boy John Hopoate has been charged with drink driving and domestic assault after allegedly attacking his girlfriend at a pub.
Police arrested Jamil Hopoate - the second son of ex-NRL bad boy John - after being called to the pub at Port Macquarie on the New South Wales mid-north coast at 8.30pm on Sunday.
The 26-year-old was allegedly found by officers behind the wheel of a car nearby.
He was charged with mid-range drink driving, three counts of common assault and two of stalking or intimidation intended to cause fear or physical harm.
