These charges stem from a number of investigations including a report of an altercation at a business on Highway 16 in North Battleford on April 30, 2020. Investigation by the Battlefords Detachment and Municipal GIS section determined that occupants of a vehicle at that location had been sprayed by bear spray by two females. In another incident on December 6, 2020, members of the Saskatchewan Crime Reduction Team, Battlefords Gang Task Force, and the Battlefords Detachment, engaged in a pursuit with an SUV believed to be driven by a male who was wanted on a number of violent offences. The pursuit ended with the police taking the male, as well as Cassandra Fox into custody. A loaded firearm was found in the vehicle.
