Severe storms are possible across Middle Tennessee throughout the day Monday and Tuesday, the National Weather Service in Nashville said.
Storms and heavy rain triggered a flurry of tornado warnings and flash flood warnings across Middle Tennessee on Monday morning. All warnings were lifted as of 11 a.m. Rain and scattered thunderstorms are continuing but are expected to dissipate over the next couple of hours, NWS Nashville tweeted around 10 a.m.
The threat of severe storms ramps up overnight Monday into Tuesday, especially after midnight, the NWS said. The main threats are damaging winds and large hail, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, the forecast showed.
