Building on Sustainability Promise, The AZEK Company Announces New Manufacturing Facility to be Located in Boise, Idaho

The AZEK Company (NYSE: AZEK), an industry-leading manufacturer of low maintenance, sustainable residential and commercial building products, including TimberTech ® decking and AZEK Trim ®, today announced that its newest manufacturing facility will be located in Boise, Idaho. Construction on the facility, which will be a retrofit of an existing building, will begin this year and it is expected to be fully operational in 2022. It will bring at least 80 jobs to Boise over the next year, followed by about 100 more over the next two to three years.

Thomas Mortell, partner at Hawley Troxell, is the new 2021 chairman of the board of directors for the Boise Metro Chamber. Mortell replaces Charlene Maher
, president and CEO of Blue Cross of Idaho, who will stay on as immediate past chair. The Chamber also announced the selection of Joel Poppen, senior vice president of legal affairs and general counsel at Micron Technology as the chair-elect of the Board. Poppen will take over as chair in 2022.

BOISE, Idaho It s no secret: Idaho is no longer the undiscovered Gem State.
Idaho was the fastest-growing state in the nation with a population increase of 2.12% from 2019, according to 2020 Census data. Forbes listed Boise as the fastest-growing city in the nation in 2018, and Meridian and Nampa were among the top 10 fastest-growing cities in the country, according to a 2020 report of the fastest-growing cities in America.
Boise is growing, but it’s not too late to get in.
Over the past couple of years, the Idaho state capital has been named one of the best cities to start a business, one of the best cities for first-time homebuyers and one of the hottest real estate markets for millennials.
Nicknamed the “City of Trees” and heart of the area known as “Treasure Valley,” Boise is home to the headquarters of grocery chains including Albertsons and WinCo Foods. Other major employers in the area include Micron Technology, HP and Wells Fargo.
