The 2021 season of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival will launch July 8.
In 2020, just as the Idaho Shakespeare Festival was coming to a halt, the company’s producing artistic director, Charlie Fee, said on
Morning Edition, “Think about this … this may be the only time in all of history that every theater in the world is shut.”
But now, the Festival is prepping for its 2021 season – a reset unlike any other.
“We’re going to produce live plays for a live audience,” said Fee. “And we could not be more thrilled and excited.”

The Idaho House ethics committee heard from more than a dozen witnesses Wednesday as it considers expelling a freshman Republican lawmaker
Rep. Aaron von Ehlinger (R-Lewiston) has not been charged with a crime and the committee is solely considering whether his behavior constitutes “conduct unbecoming” of a legislator.
The committee then must issue a recommendation to the full House, which would vote on any potential expulsion or sanction.
Those witnesses who appeared at the Idaho Capitol include von Ehlinger himself and the 19-year-old victim, who testified behind a black cloth.

After a tense and often disturbing day of testimony, the Idaho House Ethics Committee unanimously voted Thursday morning to recommend censuring Rep. Aaron von Ehlinger. The Lewiston Republican now will face the full House to decide his fate. After the decision, Governor Brad little released a statement in support of expelling the lawmaker.
