BREAKING: Britney Spears gives heartbreaking testimony to court about her conservatorship By Emma M Britney Spears has addressed the open court for the first known time in years over her controversial conservatorship with a written speech that reportedly lasted more than 20 minutes. As it stands, Britney s father Jamie Spears has conservatorship over Britney. He became her conservator in 2007 and has had sole control over most of her life affairs ever since, from business, to health, to voting and marriage.  The last time Britney spoke in court, the courtroom was sealed and none of what she said became public.  But on Wednesday, in a Los Angeles court, Britney Spears made numerous heartbreaking claims about her conservatorship, admitting that she has been lying about her happiness and that she is even being forced to take birth control against her will.
