KABUL, April 28 (Xinhua) Afghanistan s police have arrested 19 suspected drug traffickers in the Asian country, authorities said Wednesday. Counter-Narcotics Police of Afghanistan (CNPA) and other detective security organizations have arrested 19 people, including a woman, linked to cases of transportation and keeping of narcotics within the past seven days, Counter Narcotics Justice Center (CNJC) said in a statement.
The woman, who was arrested at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in the capital Kabul, hid an amount of heroin-type drug in a piece of luggage and attempted to smuggle it to India, said the statement.

Narcotics Police said they made another multi-million dollar ganja seizure in Manchester on Thursday, April 22, bringing the total value of drugs seized by the lawmen in the parish since Wednesday, April 21 to just under nine million dollars.
On Thursday, more than five million dollars worth of ganja was seized in Spalding, Manchester. Reports are that about 6:40 pm the narcotics police supported by members of the Manchester Division were on anti-narcotics operations in the area when they intercepted a Nissan bus with one man aboard.
During a search of the vehicle, they found 26 white knitted plastic bags, all containing compressed ganja. The combined weight of the drugs is approximately 1,379 pounds, with an estimated street value of J$5, 516,000.
