Police in Ponca City arrested a suspected drug dealer. Joshua Cook, 28, was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the early morning hours of June 29. Ponca City police said they had been watching Cook, who has prior criminal drug charges, for quite some time. Investigators searched his vehicle. “During the course of our investigation, they were able to locate about 28 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle,” Ponca City police Cpt. Jeff Woodward said. “Once he was arrested, they found $20,000 in cash on his person.” After a complete search of the vehicle, officers were granted a search warrant of Cook’s home on Ponca City’s northside.
