The EV will go into production somewhere in the U.S. by the end of 2023 and will be sold under the Fisker brand in North America, Europe, India, and China, according to TechCrunch. The site for the American plant was not disclosed, but Fisker Chief Executive Henrik Fisker said four states are under consideration, including Wisconsin, which is slated to host a future Foxconn future facility, Reuters reported.
2021/05/08 15:43 Foxconn Technology headquarters in Tucheng, New Taipei City Foxconn Technology headquarters in Tucheng, New Taipei City (CNA photo) TAIPEI (Taiwan News) Electronics giant Foxconn Technology Group confirmed Saturday (May 8) that 10 Chinese engineers at its plant in the Indian city of Chennai have been infected with COVID-19. The individuals were being treated and the factory has been disinfected, CNA reported. Earlier, a Wistron Corporation plant in south India was closed for five days due to three Taiwanese managers being infected. The factory is located in Kolar, in the state of Karnataka. Both Foxconn and Wistron are key players in the manufacturing of Apple iPhones and other top-end electronics products in India, as supply chains reorganize and move away from China.
The Land-Sea New Corridor that is presently being constructed, links Chongqing to southwest China, which will further facilitate trade between the country’s western region and markets of nearby Southeast Asia, particularly the Indo-China peninsula.
The Chongqing-Manzhouli-Russia freight railway, opened in 2014, operated over a thousand trips between China and Russia in 2020.
The ambitious city aims to construct a railway network with a total length of 5,800 kilometers by 2030, including 2,032 kilometers of high-speed railways. By then, Chongqing will become an important transport hub connecting Europe, Asia, and other parts of China.

As China’s largest municipality by size and population, Chongqing ranks as the fifth Chinese city with the strongest GDP, following Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
