police have been working overtime to catch violators even in the night. This is the first time the police department has been going after
motorists late in the night, which was until recently restricted to checking drink-and-drive cases. While the police maintain that they are not checking or stopping vehicles that follow
traffic rules, motorists have called the frequent checks a sort of harassment.
On Saturday and Sunday, several teams attached to Bengaluru Traffic police were seen stopping vehicles near different junctions in the central business district (CBD) areas around 9 pm.
