KUALA LUMPUR: KPower Bhd has secured four engineering, procurement, construction, commission and completion (EPCC) contracts with total a value of RM510mil.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KPower said its wholly owned subsidiary, KPower Engineering Sdn Bhd had accepted the letter of awards from Cabaran Hijau Sdn Bhd (CHSB), Selat Serasi Sdn Bhd (SSSB), Denai Delima Sdn Bhd (DDSB) and Koridor Mentari Sdn Bhd (KMSB).
The contracts are to undertake amongst others EPCC of mini hydro power plants in the state of Pahang Darul Makmur with a capacity of 18.7 MW in Sg. Jelai Kecil, 13.9 MW in Sg. Telom as well as 12 MW in Sg. Lemoi and 5.25 MW in Sg. Kampar in the state of Perak Darul Ridzuan.
The government will continue to assist the manufacturing sector, especially the rubber glove industry to maintain Malaysia’s position as a main player in the supply of rubber gloves for the global health industry.

Nestle (M) Bhd s (Nestle Malaysia) net profit for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2020 ticked up 0.5% to RM132.47 million from RM131.82 million a year earlier. The group said its revenue registered a 3.1% increase to RM1.37 billion from RM1.33 billion a year ago, underpinned by sales in Out-of-Home channels as restrictions eased in the second half of the year under the Recovery Movement Control Order. KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 17): MGB Bhd has bagged a RM442.81 million contract to construct affordable home projects in Dengkil and Ijok in Selangor.
In a bourse filing, the group said its wholly-owned subsidiary MGB Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd was awarded the contract by Seloka Sinaran Sdn Bhd (SSSB) and Kemudi Ehsan Sdn Bhd (KESB).
Both SSEB and KESB are subsidiaries of LBS Bina Group Bhd. LBS also owns the majority of MGB shares.
MGB said the projects entail the construction of two blocks of Rumah Selangorku Idaman MBI in Dengkil and Ijok.
Work will commence on March 1 and is expected to be completed on July 31, 2023.
