Stadler is named Athlete of the Week

Merrill Foto News Stadler is named Athlete of the Week Cameron Stadler Cameron Stadler, Merrill High School (MHS) Senior, has been named Athlete of the Week for the week of April 15, 2021. Cameron is on the Merrill Bluejays Varsity Trap Team and has been on the Team since his Sophomore year in 2019 when he made 1st Team All Conference with a 23.33 average. (25.0 is a perfect score.) The Team didn’t get to shoot in 2020 due to COVID, but the Trap Team did start shooting at the end of March for the 2021 season. He has been shooting trap for five years, since the 8th grade.

Delta Waterfowl Donates To The VCHS Trap Team

(NewsDakota.com) – Delta Waterfowl makes a donation from it’s  banquet each year to the Valley City High School Trap Team. The banquet is usually held at the end of February at the Valley City Eagles Club. A portion of the money goes directly to the VCHS Trap Team. This year, Delta Waterfowl made a generous donation of $1,500 to the VCHS Trap Team from their 2020 Banquet. Delta Waterfowl is The Duck Hunters Organization, a leading conservation group founded at the famed Delta Marsh in Manitoba, with its U.S. Headquarters in Bismarck, North Dakota. We work to produce ducks through intensive management programs and conservation of breeding duck habitat. Delta conducts vital waterfowl research, and promotes and protects the continuing tradition of waterfowl hunting in North America.

Hibbing Foundation awards over $51,00 to local nonprofits

HIBBING — The Hibbing Foundation and its ‘Family of Funds’ has impacted the community throughout the years by awarding nearly $2.6 million to over 1,600 organizations. The Hibbing Foundation is proud to announce its 2021 grant recipients. Eighteen organizations received grants totaling $51,220. • Access North Center for Independent Living or Northeastern Minnesota: general program support that would allow Access North the ability to hire a full-time ramp carpenter to oversee the construction of home access ramps. This $5,000 grant was made possible by the Linda Forti Hibbing Foundation Fund, Bruno & Sylvia Family Hibbing Foundation Fund, John & Nancy Ryan Family Hibbing Foundation Fund, James H. Ryan Family Hibbing Foundation Fund, The Jeno F. & Lois Mae Paulucci Fund of Hibbing Foundation, and the Dr. Benjamin P. Owens Hibbing High School Legacy Foundation.
