Quebec is holding out hope a deal with Formula One and public-health authorities can be struck to salvage the Canadian Grand Prix‘s 2021 edition, Economy Minister Pierre Fitzgibbon said.
“We’re in talks with the people of Formula One, and I think we’ll be able to make announcements this week,” Fitzgibbon said Monday at a press conference in Quebec City. “I’m optimistic. We’re currently negotiating. By nature, I am an optimist.”
