JK schools rank No. 1 in Fit India Week -2020

JAMMU Tawi, JAN 9: As many as 20052 schools of Jammu division participated through online and offline activities in ‘Fit India School Week Celebrations 2020’ launched by the Ministry of Education( School Education & Literacy) and Ministry of Sports, Government of India w.e.f 1st December to 31st December 2020.
J&K has topped the list of participating schools amongst all the States and UT’s of India followed by Gujrat and Odisha.
A total of 17611 registrations from the UT of J&K were recognized, out of which 10206 came from Jammu division alone, while Gujrat ranked 2nd with 10163 entries and Odisha stood 3rd with 7448.

JAMMU, Jan 2: Former UT President BJP and Ex Minister Sat Sharma inaugurated the newly opened Ultimate Fitness Gym at Janipur, Ward Number 37 near Vegetable Market.
He was also accompanied by JMC Councillor Ward Number 37 Sunita Gupta, owner Varun Deep Sharma, Mandal President BJP Raveesh Mengi, District Vice President Ajay Manhas and several others including local residents and political activists of the area.
The Gym has a distinction of imparting training and guidance under qualified trainers and all the equipment installed in the Gym are of best quality. The Gym serves the purpose of helping both ladies and gents so that they can remain healthy.
âFit India campaignâ: Cycle rally organized at Udhampur in J&K @FitIndiaOff In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, to generate awareness among the common masses about Fit India campaign, Municipal Council Udhampur today organized a cycle rally at Udhampur. AIR correspondent reports that DDC, Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla flagged off the cycle rally, which passed through Slathia Chowk, Ramnagar Chowk, Court road, Gole market, Bus Stand and culminated at Town Hall Udhampur.
The DDC highlighted the importance of physical and mental fitness in the development of healthy society and said that the main objective of organizing this awareness rally is to sensitize the common masses about Fit India campaign launched by Government of India.

Bench Press competition held

JAMMU, Dec 28: With a motive to encourage the youth towards physical fitness, a Bench Press competition for men and women was organised at Power Fitness Gym Talab Tillo, here today.
Former Minister Sat Sharma (CA) was the chief guest. He was accompanied by guest of honour JMC Corporator Ward 40, Neelam Nargotra and many others.
The event was organized by Sahil who is a professional Gym trainer and national player in Bodybuilding. National players in Bench Press and Bodybuilding including Kamal Jeet Singh, Vikrant Sharma and Iqbal were the judges of the event.
Meenu Kalotra and Kunal Verma emerged winners in girls and men categories respectively and lifted the titles.
