The Kansas City metro area continues to reopen as more and more of the population gets the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Friday the state has 305,861 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and there have been 4,953 deaths since the outbreak started. Overall the state said 35% of the population has been vaccinated with at least one dose. Kansas is now only updating COVID-19 data on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said Monday there have been 496,600 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the outbreak and 8,635 deaths.
