SURREY – She’s back!
Elected in 1983 as a city councillor, Judy Higginbotham served for 25 years before retiring. Before that she worked as a teacher and in broadcasting. She is now an active volunteer for organizations like the Surrey City Orchestra, the Rotary Club of Semiahmoo, the Federal Senior Liberals’ Commission of BC and more.
While she was on council, Higginbotham worked on crime prevention and collaborated with Options Community Services, helping them set up a daycare in North Surrey High School. Judy received Business Woman of the Year from the Surrey Business Professional Women’s Association, as well as the Solicitor General’s Crime Prevention award for her work in crime prevention.

Harrison Evans Education Specialist
Harrison Evans began his role as the Education Specialist for West Virginia Public Broadcasting in December of 2020. Additionally, Harrison serves as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Public Speaking and Marketing coursework at Midway University. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master of Arts in Communication in 2018. In his previous role as Student Ministries Director with CrossPointe Church in Kentucky, Harrison had the opportunity to engage students in ways that focused on changing lives and perspectives. He has years of experience teaching students of various ages academically, musically, and biblically. Harrison can be reached at hevans@wvpublic.org

Anna Lee
Anna Lee is a first year teacher at St. Patrick s School in Oneida. Anna Lee makes learning exciting and fun for her third grade students. She has successfully navigated teaching lessons to students in the classroom while simultaneously engaging students who are joining class via Zoom at home. She can often be seen giving students one-on-one support at their level in order to see them make learning gains.
