While most cats are happy to scratch, stretch and lounge in a sunbeam, Whiskers the Nettleham rescue cat has his sights set on bigger things.
The fearless 10-month-old ginger kitten has been causing quite a stir in the village, following children to school, joining in archery lessons and even gate-crashing a year five maths test.
Owners Jo and Adi Fox say their purr-fect pet even has his own Facebook page – ‘Whiskers the Nettleham wanderer’ – with almost 200 followers.

The mammoth tray comes with five sausages, five pieces of bacon, three eggs, four slices of toast and two fried bread slices, all on a bed of chips, as well as large bowls of mushrooms, beans and chopped tomatoes, plus a hot drink.
You have 30 minutes to eat it all if you defeat it you get the meal free and appear on the wall of fame, if you don’t, it’ll set you back £20.

A pub near Lincoln was the subject of the latest Beard Meats Food eating challenge on YouTube, and he made light work of the previously unbeaten trial.
The 35-year-old popular competitive eater turned YouTuber paid a visit to Scothern’s Bottle & Glass pub to take on its undefeated food challenge.
Labelled the Beasty Bottle Bacon Burger Challenge, you get 15 minutes to eat a whopping burger with five half pound beef patties, topped with cheese and bacon.
As well as this, you have the small feat of eating 3.5 lbs of chips and onion rings.
