THERE are changes to the locations of some Covid testing sites in the Dorset Council area. Since April, adults who show no symptoms of Covid-19 have been able to access free twice-weekly lateral flow tests. To accommodate this, Dorset Council and Public Health Dorset set up a number of community testing sites across the county. However, with the introduction of home testing kits, fewer people have been going to the testing sites so the council has decided to change the locations and timings of some of the sites. Just 10 to 20 Covid cases per 100,000 people across Dorset, says public health authority JUST nine Covid cases per 100,000 people were recorded across the Dorset Council area, according to the latest figures. Public Health Dorset said there have been no Covid-related deaths recorded across the BCP Council and Dorset Council areas in recent weeks. A Public Health Dorset spokesperson said: “Our data shows that the number of people in Dorset hospitals with COVID-19 has remained in single figures over the past few weeks, and COVID-related deaths in both council areas are at 0. Thank you to everyone who has played their part in keeping case rates low.
