Public Health Grey Bruce says 16 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Saturday (Jan 2nd) in the region and four additional recoveries.
The Town of The Blue Mountains has the most new cases at four while Huron Kinloss has two.
West Grey, Arran Elderslie, Georgian Bluffs, Hanover, Neyaashiinigmiing and Southgate all have one new case.
With four recoveries Saturday, there are now 46 confirmed active cases.
129 high risk contacts are associated with the region’s active cases.
Two people from Grey Bruce are hospitalized due to the virus.
There have been no COVID-19 deaths reported to date.
Public Health says there there are no outbreaks in schools as the one at Normanby Community School in Ayton is declared over. There are no outbreaks in childcare centres in Grey Bruce and no outbreaks in long-term care homes in the region.
