Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) held extraordinary general meeting with a quorum of 62.73 percent and representation through video conferencing and proxies from individual shareholders as well as from all major equity holders which included Fauji Foundation, State Life Insurance Corporation, Citi Bank, Deutsche Bank, MCB, NRL, NIT, Atlasand representatives from various other Corporate bodies and institutions.
Brig Asrat Mahmood, SI(M) (Retd), Company Secretary FFC, opened the house.He apprised the shareholders of the special business to seek Shareholders’ approval for acquisition of 100% shareholding of Foundation Wind Energy-I Limited (FWEL-I) and 80% shareholding of Foundation Wind Energy-II Limited (FWEL-II). The shareholders unanimously approved the proposed business acquisition.

ISLAMABAD: While 640,000 people in the federal capital are now partially or fully vaccinated, which is 43pc of the district’s population, the Covid-19 positivity rate has been rising for the third consecutive week, making the relevant authorities consider imposing smart lockdowns in hotspot areas.
According to data, 845,000 doses have been administered in the federal capital.
On the other hand, 164 more people were found infected on Sunday out of the 1,941 tests that were conducted, with the positivity rate recorded at 8.4pc. The weekly positivity rate has been rising for the third consecutive week, reaching 6.64pc. Due to the situation, the city authorities are considering imposing a smart lockdown in a few areas.

ISLAMABAD: A slight decrease was seen in the number of Covid-19 cases and positivity rate in Islamabad as 133 new cases were reported on Saturday as compared to 183 the other day.
Officials of the capital administration said during the last 24 hours 2,049 tests were conducted in the capital which found the virus in 133 people and the positivity rate was 6.4pc.
On Saturday, 101 patients also recovered in capital, they said, adding that the capital has 1,941 active cases.
Rawalpindi
As many as 93 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in the garrison city while 44 patients recovered during last 24 hours.
In Rawalpindi district, there are 707 active patients of them 137 patients are in hospitals, including 20 from other districts, while 570 patients have been isolated in their homes.
