Rural pubs can t wait to get back after Failte Ireland guidelines released

The Gap Pub Facebook Page A rural pub owner in County Wexford says they can’t wait to get back open and serving the local community. The Gap Pub in Ballythomas, North Wexford was able to open for a while last year due to their food offerings but had to close their doors for the most part over the last 18 months. This week, Failte Ireland released their guidelines for pubs and restaurants as they look to get back to business next month. Owner Sean Browne told South East Radio it’s been tough but the future is looking bright. “I’d be optimistic about getting back. We’re getting a lot of beeps of support from the road because people want to get back.

JUST IN: Pub/Indoor dining rules announced including curfew and live music ban

LMFM By Emma M Image via Getty Failte Ireland has just published their guidelines for reopening the hospitality sector which includes strict rules for pubs and indoor dining. According to The Sun, the following rules will be in place for pubs and restaurants when indoor dining returns: No live or loud music Customers will not be allowed sit at the bar  An 11.30pm curfew will be imposed Multiple tables cannot be booked indoors  Only table service will be allowed A maximum of six people aged 13 or over permitted per table. This limit of 6 does not include accompanying children aged 12 or younger. The total combined capacity at a table cannot exceed 15 overall (max. 6 persons aged 13 and over)
