Man fatally shot in Norfolk neighborhood; police investigating

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Police are investigating a fatal shooting in the area of Guy Avenue and Fenner Street Friday evening.
The call came in around 5 p.m.
Police say the victim, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no further information.

WINNIPEG Manitoba s police watchdog has cleared the police officers involved in a crash that left a mother and her infant child dead, and others injured in the North End. The crash happened on Sept. 26, 2020, after Winnipeg police tried to conduct a traffic stop. The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) said when officers attempted to stop a pickup truck in the area of Salter Street and Boyd Avenue, the truck took off and collided with a van at the intersection of Andrews Street and Boyd Avenue. There were four people, including an infant and a child, in the van at the time. Everyone involved in the crash was taken to the hospital. A mother and her 10-month-old infant son both died as a result of the crash.

A team of independent investigators say police officers did not contribute to the two deaths that occurred when a suspect was fleeing then at a traffic stop.
Four passengers in a van were struck on September 26 after a driver fleeing from police crashed into them. The mother in the vehicle died the in hospital, and her 10-month-old son died after spending a month fighting for his life in the hospital.
Due to police involvement ending in death, the Winnipeg Police Service contacted the Independent Investigation Unit (IIU). The investigators examined:
