PINEVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - Pineville police provided more details from a 2020 officer-involved shooting that seriously injured a man who they say was waving a gun along a busy stretch of road.
Police released a 911 call and officer body camera footage of the shooting that struck 23-year-old Timothy Rochell Caraway the morning of February 1, 2020.

The shooting happened around 10 a.m. North Polk Street, off Interstate 485, near Arby’s.

No injuries reported after reported shooting at mall in North Carolina, police say

PINEVILLE, N.C. â Multiple agencies are actively searching a mall in North Carolina after receiving reports of an active shooter.
Pineville police say the Carolina Place Mall has been evacuated and there are no injuries reported.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says they are assisting the Pineville Police Department.
Carolina Place Mall cleared; no evidence of shots fired, injuries, police say
Pineville Police said they found no evidence of shots being fired or any injuries after responding to a reported shooting at Carolina Place Mall on Christmas Eve. Author: James Brierton (WCNC) Updated: 11:23 PM EST December 24, 2020
According to Pineville Police Lt. Corey Copley, there were no reports of injuries or potential suspects after the reported shooting. Copley later said shortly after 6:30 p.m. there was no evidence any shots were fired in the mall.
Copley said law enforcement responded to about a dozen 911 calls from inside the mall.
Dozens of first responders were called to the scene, including Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, Charlotte Fire, and Medic. Emergency personnel went store-to-store evacuating the mall and searching for any possible victims or armed suspects.
