But last week public media station KPBS published an investigation that revealed the addresses of 1,006 outbreaks that occurred between March and December. Business Spotlight: Hoping to help customers enjoy fine dining at home while restaurants are closed to onsite dining, chef and restaurateur Giuseppe Ciuffa is offering options, including a just-launched meal prep service. Ciuffa, who owns Giuseppe Restaurants & Fine Catering, a 20-year-old company with several local operations under its umbrella, said, “We have a very good variety of services.” In addition to his two restaurants and catering, Ciuffa has added Mando, a meal delivery service launched a few weeks ago. Mando was created because “a lot of people, they like our food, but they don’t live within the [restaurants’] neighborhoods,” Ciuffa said. “Our goal was to create the type of food that we make, restaurant-quality, into a meal prep delivery service.

RV Roger Revelle sent back to sea after extensive refit Research vessel Roger Revelle, one of the largest ships in the U.S. Academic Research Fleet, is back to sea after a $60 million refit involving upgrades from top to bottom, bow to stern. The refit will extend the service life by 15 to 20 years with improvements to systems crucial to the vessel’s operations, scientific capabilities, habitability and environmental footprint, according to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. The ship is owned by the Office of Naval Research and has been operated by Scripps Oceanography since 1996. The vessel is considered important to U.S. oceanographic research due to its range, payload, duration and ability to safely conduct scientific operations in remote areas around the globe.

Man Arrested In Pines Road Homicide

Man Arrested In Pines Road Homicide Shreveport Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide that happened Sunday, December 6th in the 7000 block of Pines Road just after 2:00 p.m. Shreveport Police responded to the 7000 block of Pines Road to a shooting at Tobacco Kings. When officers arrived, they located 24-year-old Jacoby Ware suffering from multiple gunshot injuries to the body. The victim was immediately transported to Ochsner LSU Health, where he later died.  A second individual identified as 20 year old Devoris Hardy was located at a nearby Sonic Drive-In suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the thigh, and hand. Hardy was transported to Ochsner LSU Health with non-life-threatening injuries. Crime scene investigators responded to the scene and began their investigation. After interviewing witnesses, and collecting surveillance at this location, detectives learned that Hardy and another male who has yet to be identified, approached Ware while he was sitting
