Author: Tim Giago is the founder of our news organization: Indian Country Today. It began as the Lakota Times in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. We’ll hear how his journalism made a path against injustice. In the late 80s, Charlene Teters was a graduate student at the University of Illinois when she came face to face with the harmful effects of Native mascots. Teters joins us to talk about the Cleveland team announcing its name change.
