JACKSON, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reports the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state has risen to over 308,700.
MSDH reported 216 COVID-19 cases and 12 additional deaths on Friday, bringing the state total to 308,737 cases and 7,139 deaths.
One Pine Belt death was reported between Aug. 28, 2020, and April 9, 2021, as it happened in Forrest County.
Positive test results may have been made during the past several days and represent individuals who became ill a week ago or more.

JACKSON, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reports the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state has risen to over 308,500.
MSDH reported 410 COVID-19 cases and six additional deaths on Thursday, bringing the state total to 308,521 cases and 7,127 deaths.
One death was reported from the Pine Belt, as it happened in Jones County between Aug. 5, 2020, and April 8, 2021.
Positive test results may have been made during the past several days and represent individuals who became ill a week ago or more.
