PHOENIX (AP) - The 20-year-old son of Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb has been arrested after toxicology tests showed he was impaired at the time of a 2020 crash in which a bicyclist was severely injured, authorities said.
Cooper Lamb was booked into a Maricopa County jail late Wednesday on suspicion of aggravated assault and possession of dangerous drugs, said Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez, a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
Mark Lamb had asked the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to take over the investigation into the July 8 crash in the San Tan Valley area.

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. - Officials with the Maricopa County Sheriff s Office confirmed on Jan. 20 that Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb s son was arrested in connection to a crash that left a bicyclist badly injured.
According to a statement released to FOX 10 by MCSO, 20-year-old Cooper Lamb was arrested and booked into jail after toxicology results showed he was impaired while driving a car that hit a bicyclist last year in Pinal County.
On Jan. 6, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb made a promise. Delivering a speech in Phoenix during the ongoing mob attack on the nation’s Capitol, Lamb accused former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton of unnamed crimes and repeated President Donald Trump’s false claims about election fraud. “Now I’m limited to what I can do as the sheriff, but if you live in Pinal County, I assure you I can fight for your freedom,” he said before exhorting his followers to “be vigilant” and to “fight for the Constitution, freedom, and the American way of life.” (The video has since been deleted from social media.)

I have been beating the drum to invoke the 14th Amendment’s disqualification clause against the Sedition Party, in particular Arizona’s four GOP members of Congress who participated in sedition and gave oxygen to the QAnon/Trump cult violent mob that stormed the Capitol building in armed insurrection against the lawful government of the United States:

To hear some Republican politicians in Arizona describe it, the mob that stormed and vandalized the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday was more or less Hillary Clinton s fault.
Or the left s. Or it wasn t as bad as it looked.
While none explicitly condoned violence, they also rejected suggestions President Trump or they themselves might have had something to do with it. Americans are upset, U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Arizona, wrote simply on the right-wing social networking website Parler, where he posted a photo of people scaling the walls of the Capitol.
