Stunning Fakhar ton not enough for Pakistan in second ODI vs S Africa  04 Apr 2021 - 19:41 PCB Reuters JOHANNESBURG - Opener Fakhar Zaman s scintillating 193 was not enough for Pakistan who lost the second one-day international to South Africa by 17 runs at The Wanderers on Sunday as the hosts levelled the three-game series. Fakhar was left to do it all on his own as Pakistan reached 324 for nine in reply to South Africa s 341 for six, his power-hitting including 18 fours and 10 sixes for the record score in ODIs in Johannesburg, beating the 175 by Herschelle Gibbs against Australia in 2006. Welcome To IANS Live - INTERNATIONAL - Simple gesture of Bajwa s magnanimity might not be enough

Photo Credit: IANS IANSLive London, April 4 (IANS) The Directors General of Military Operations of both India and Pakistan took a bold decision in February to establish ceasefire across the Line of Control. Since then, it has been all quiet on the Kashmir front and the blazing guns have gone silent. This demonstrates the willingness of Pakistani Army chief, Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, to sincerely refrain from any future cross-border firing, at least for now. Golf: Lydia Ko solid, but loses touch with leaders at ANA Inspiration

Golf: Lydia Ko solid, but loses touch with leaders at ANA Inspiration 4 Apr, 2021 04:15 AM 2 minutes to read NZ Herald A consistent third round at the ANA Inspiration hasn t been enough to see Lydia Ko keep pace with the leaders, as she sits in a tie for seventh with one round left to play. Ko carded a one-under-par 71 in her penultimate round today, with two birdies and a bogey breaking up her 15 pars. Heading into the day four shots behind leader Patty Tavatanakit, Ko would have wanted to produce something similar to her second-round 69 to move further into contention. But while Ko performed consistently throughout her round, she ended the day eight shots behind Tavatanakit, who hit a five-under-par 67 to hold a five-shot lead over nearest rivals Ally Ewing and defending champion Mirim Lee.

Sideswipe: April 05: No park? No problem in Warkworth

Sideswipe: April 05: No park? No problem in Warkworth 4 Apr, 2021 05:00 PM 3 minutes to read Cost of love for landlord This landlord reached out for advice on a popular New Zealand property investors Facebook page last week: I ve a reliable paying tenant renting my self-contained flat. Water and the heating of the water is included, power additional. My tenant has found a partner and the partner stays over on average twice a week. I ve been wary as this week it has been 3 or 4 days. When is enough enough? I am looking at the cost of additional hot water, wear and tear, the rent for 7 days has now become 9+ if you add on the time the partner stays…or do I relax and hope the honeymoon period will peter out. Plenty of members of the Facebook page told this landlord to pull her head in, but this is the experience of some tenants and it s pretty dehumanising.

Hoons on motorbikes tearing up Kaikohe s main street 2 Apr, 2021 06:26 AM 3 minutes to read Motorcyclists in dangerous action in Kaikohe s main street. Northern Advocate Some Kaikohe folk have well and truly had enough of children and youths riding their bicycles and motorbikes on the town s main street, showing scant regard for vehicles or their own physical wellbeing. Others, however, defend them as just kids having some harmless fun who do not deserve to be picked on by the police or anyone else. But the fact is they are putting lives at risk. Kaikohe residents and visitors alike have long been complaining, however, one resident says the problem with bicycles had become increasingly concerning over the past five months.
