The service in Laois that supports people from around the world who have made their home in Laois is using funds to help local business to ensure children receive gifts this Christmas.
Each year the Laois Integration Network (LIN) hosts a Christmas Parry for Children living in Direct Provision as well as other migrants in the local community, but this year it is not possible due to Covid-19.
Community responds to help local man

A County Derry community have rallied around to raise money for a young local man after he was diagnosed with cancer.
Stephen McAteer, from Drumsurn, was told he has cancer last month.
His friends and the local community have now rallied around their proactive member .
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to raise money for travel and accommodation costs for the 29-year-old.
“The news of Stephens diagnosis has saddened the community as a whole,” said fundraiser organiser Suellen O Kane.
