The BID is launching Independent Business Month to offer support after a tough year. On July 1 outside of City Museum, BID will install a pop-up shop called No 1 Independent Street. Visitors will be able to pick up a free pocket map showing over 150 shopping and food and drink businesses across the city centre. Sarah Davis, Winchester Business Improvement District Manager said: The past 15 months have been particularly challenging for all businesses, but the resilience of the independent hospitality and retail sectors is really evident in Winchester. New businesses are being attracted to the city because of the collaborative, supportive nature of these businesses and their customers.
