TOWN OF CARSON, WI (WSAU) â One person was injured in an accident involving a school bus in Portage County on Tuesday.
Sheriffâs officers say a bus was stopped along its route near County Road HH and Bayshore Drive with emergency lights flashing and its stop sign extended when it was hit by an SUV driving at a high rate of speed.
The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
There were several students on board the bus at the time of the incident. None of them were injured.
Two men from Naples are facing multiple charges after they were arrested following a home invasion robbery in North Fort Myers on Monday morning.
The Lee County Sheriff s Office said deputies responded to the Foxmoor Lakes development off Bayshore Road after a report of the alleged crime at a home on Fox Lake Drive was made.
The Sheriff s Office said the two men suspected in the incident pistol whipped and robbed the victims and then fled in a pickup.
A Sheriff s Office watch commander spotted the suspects and tried to stop them. A chase ensued during which they used the car to strike two Sheriff s Office units, an arrest report said.
Officers responded to the scene at the 1600 block of North Bayshore Drive shortly after 3:30 a.m. Officers initially did not locate a shooting victim, but shortly before 4 a.m., police were advised that a man was dropped off with a gunshot wound.
A woman was also injured in the possible group fight, officials said.
The man, who is in his 20s, is in stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The condition of the woman is currently unknown.
NBC 6 has reached out to the Marriott hotel for a statement.
No arrests have been made yet, police said.
