Directive 067’s purpose, titled Eligibility Requirements for Acquiring and Holding Energy Licences and Approvals, is to ensure that only responsible parties are granted the privilege of holding energy development licences.
The draft changes, which can be viewed at aer.ca, were released on January 13, and require applicants to submit more information, particularly financials, at the time of application and throughout the application’s lifecycle.

Members of the Municipal District (M.D.) of Pincher Creek council and administration gathered at the Castle Mountain Resort parking lot on Thursday, Feb. 11 for a ribbon cutting ceremony officially commemorating the completion of the Castle Area Water Project.
The M.D. was joined by Foothills MP John Barlow, Livingstone-MacLeod MLA Roger Reid, and Castle Mountain Community Association (CMCA) President Kevin Finn to celebrate the completion of the project.
