Feversham Arms Hotel celebrates reopening by launching its own gin

A POPULAR hotel and spa is celebrating its reopening on May 17 by launching its own spirit. The Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa in Helmsley has teamed up with artisan producer Hooting Owl to create the bespoke Feversham Arms Gin with botanicals and flavours from the area. Alex Stainsby, restaurant manager of the luxury hotel, said it was something they had wanted to do for some time and began the development with Hooting Owl during lockdown. They have a great reputation for creating signature flavours using botanicals found in local areas such as seaweed in coastal regions and heather from the North York Moors.

Malton practice appoints new director and associate

AN architectural practice in Malton has appointed a new director and associate. Bramhall Blenkharn Leonard, formally known as Bramhall Blenkharn Architects, has appointed Oliver Leonard as a new director and Tris Terry as an associate. Oliver studied architecture at the University of Edinburgh and joined Bramhall Blenkharn Architects before leaving the practice to gain experience in different sectors. He returned to Bramhall Blenkharn Architects in 2019 and will be joining current directors’ Mark Bramhall and Ric Blenkharn. It is an honour to be invited to become a partner in Bramhall Blenkharn Leonard and to have the opportunity of helping to shape the future of the practice, he said.
