This George Price Day will be a memorable one for many Belizeans. For some Belizeans those memories will be pleasant ones. However, some 80 plus Belizeans will be remembering it as the day when they were fired from their jobs by a cold-hearted vindictive government. Those 80 perople include 80 people who were working in various positions at the Bus Terminals across the county as a part of the Terminal Management Units. Their positions ranged from Janitors to Terminal Managers. It appears that the PUP did it as a twisted tribute to George Price, whose mantra, was “PUNISH YOUR ENEMIES AND REWARD YOUR FRIENDS.”

Four terminals will be built outside Dhaka for inter-district buses and the terminals inside the capital will be used for inter-city buses only, the Dhaka South City Corporation mayor says. );

Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh revealed the plan while speaking to reporters after the 15th meeting of the Bus Route Rationalisation Committee at the Nagar Bhaban on Tuesday. Dhaka North Mayor Atiqul Islam was also present.
Taposh said they selected Batulia of Birulia and Hemayetpur of Savar for the buses from the northern districts, and Kanchpur of Narayanganj and Keraniganj’s Baghair for those from the southern districts after visiting several of the 10 sites shortlisted for the new terminals.
KOTA KINABALU: There were crowds at public places like bus terminals and supermarkets, while the roads were congested.
That was the scene here on Tuesday (Jan 12), a day before the movement control order is enforced again.
Even in smaller towns like Kota Belud, residents were rushing to get some cash out from banks, since many of the sundry shops and restaurants there did not provide cashless services.
A resident, who did not want to be named, said she had queued up since early morning to withdraw her money from the ATM as she was worried that she would not be able to buy essential items during the period.
