SPRINGFIELD âUnfinished businessâ was a theme following Archbishop Woodâs 2019-20 season. The Vikings quest for a state championship was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic after their Philadelphia Catholic League title run came to an end in the semifinals against Roman Catholic.
Archbishop Wood got its revenge against Roman on the biggest stage. The Vikings won the second PCL championship in program history when they beat the Cahillites, 68-59, Monday night at Cardinal OâHara High School.
âThis was real personal,â Wood senior Marcus Randolph said. âThe way they got us off the court last year â it just didnât sit right with me. This year we came out and showed it was personal. We got the win this year in the bigger game.â

Despite the Eagles’ glaring weakness at wide receiver, I’m mixing it up with Pitts at No. 6. It’d be the 10th time a tight end has been drafted before the first wide receiver off the board, and only four other tight ends have ever been taken in the top six. But here’s the thing: Pitts is more than just a tight end. He’s a matchup nightmare who can line up all over the place, and his great speed, hands and 6-foot-6 size make him extremely difficult to contain. Philadelphia should add receiver help in free agency, but a Pitts-Dallas Goedert pairing is a dream for any offensive coordinator.
