Maharashtra Spent Rs 155 Crore On Publicity Campaigns In 16 Months, Reveals RTI

An RTI filed by Anil Galgali revealed that Uddhav Thackeray government spent Rs 155 crore. Mumbai (Maharashtra): The Directorate General of Information and Public Relations has informed RTI activist Anil Galgali that the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government has spent Rs 155 crore on publicity campaigns in the last 16 months. He had asked for the information from State government on various expenditures incurred on the campaign since the formation of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government. The Directorate General of Information and Public Relations provided Anil Galgali with information on the expenditure incurred on the campaign in the 16 months from 11 December 2019 to 12 March 2021. In the year 2020, a total of Rs 104.55 crore was spent on publicity campaigns of 26 departments. Rs 5.96 crore has been spent on the publicity campaign on the occasion of Women s Day. Highlights All shops can remain open till 8 pm on weekdays and they will be closed from 8 pm on Saturday to 6 am on Monday. E-pass will not be required for movement in private vehicles within the state. All government and private offices will be allowed to operate with 50 percent of the workforce. New Delhi: The Jharkhand government, after reviewing the COVID situation in the state, decided to relax the COVID-induced lockdown restrictions in the said on Wednesday (June 30, 2021). The state government also issued a new set of guidelines for the state and said that these will come into force from Thursday (July 1, 2021) itself. According to the new order, the shops in the state can now emain open till 8 pm.
