The Directorate General of Information and Public Relations has informed RTI activist Anil Galgali that the Maha Vikas Aghadi Government has spent Rs 155 crore on publicity campaigns in the last 16 months.
He had asked for the information from State government on various expenditures incurred on the campaign since the formation of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
The Directorate General of Information and Public Relations provided Anil Galgali with information on the expenditure incurred on the campaign in the 16 months from 11 December 2019 to 12 March 2021.
In the year 2020, a total of Rs 104.55 crore was spent on publicity campaigns of 26 departments. Rs 5.96 crore has been spent on the publicity campaign on the occasion of Women s Day.
