HAYTI, Mo. (KFVS) - The Pemiscot County Acceleration Team will host a job and career exploration fair in Hayti on Saturday, May 15.
The event, combining a job fair for adults and career exploration for students, will be held at the Faith Temple Complex-Church of God in Christ.
The public is invited to attend.
Employers will be on hand to connect with potential employees.
Face-to-face interviews are likely.
In addition to the fair, there will be activities for children, door prizes and free food for attendees.

STEELE, Mo. (KFVS) - A man is facing charges in connection to a shooting in Steele.
A warrant was issued for Dequan Cooper, 22, of Steele, charging him with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a firearm.
According to Steele police, they learned a man was treated for a gunshot wound at an area hospital on Tuesday, April 20. He was reportedly in serious, but stable condition.

Batesville:
NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University will hold a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Batesville April 13. The clinic will be from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Batesville High School gym, at 1 Pioneer Drive. All Arkansans ages 18 and up are eligible to participate. NYITCOM will be administering the Moderna vaccine, and the people who attend the event will be required to return on May 11 for their second dose. The follow-up event will also be held in the Batesville High School gym. Insurance is not required, and vaccines are free to those eligible due to a grant NYITCOM received from the Arkansas Minority Health Commission.
