The Arizona State University Department of Psychology is launching a new on-ground and online Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience this fall, designed to train the next generation of neuroscientists.
While the neuroscience degree had previously been a concurrent option in the past for undergraduate students, popular among students in life sciences and psychology, the program has been restructured as a stand-alone degree option for students who are interested in neuropsychology and neuroscience-specific careers.
The program features award-winning research faculty such as Foster Olive, a professor of psychology and director of the Addiction Neuroscience Laboratory, who is working to solve the puzzle of drug addiction, and Samuel McClure, professor of psychology and director of the Decision Neuroscience Laboratory, who researches the midbrain reward system and the functional role of the system in memory formation.
Jones would seem to fit best the traits of what Kyle Shanahan wants in a quarterback, including accuracy, smarts and quick decision-making. Jones has underrated athleticism, too. He also brings the physical and mental toughness John Lynch likes. For them, Jones high floor comes with a little less risk than the developmental Lance or the boom-or-bust Fields. It s easy to see why 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan would appreciate Jones efficiency, intelligence and decision-making. However, I don t think the 49ers choice is that clear-cut. Trey Lance and Justin Fields are both just as capable of operating an NFL offense and both possess plus athleticism. This decision may go down to the wire.

NEW PHILADELPHIA Construction students at Buckeye Career Center are building boxes to hold the flags that cover veterans caskets at their burials.
The project serves two purposes: it gives the juniors the opportunity to serve the community, and it gives veterans survivors a way to display the flags. Many times these flags get shoved in a closet. The flag boxes can cost over $100 and are hard to find, said Debra Cook, director of the Tuscarawas County Veterans Service Office.
All veterans who are honorably discharged are eligible for a flag when they die, Cook said.
The triangular boxes are made from red oak with a clear acrylic front.
