Most said they wanted to give a two-week period after the holidays for the dust to settle on any COVID-19 infections that transpired through holiday travel or gatherings.

Sparta Teacher Swept Up in Sussex County Interagency Gun Investigation

December 10, 2020 at 9:24 PM SPARTA, NJ – Sparta Police assisted the Sussex County Guns, Gang and Narcotics Task Force and the New Jersey State Police in an investigation that led to the arrest of Kevin Young, 33 and his fiancée Sparta High School chemistry teacher Ashley Markovic, 31 on a long list of weapon related offenses.  According to Sparta Det. Sgt. Jeffery McCarrick, Markovic had “not been the target of the investigation until Wednesday.”  On Wednesday, December 9 Sandyston resident Young was picked up during a motor vehicle stop, the culmination of a two-month investigation, police said.
