Last year, we were all stuck at home. The coronavirus pandemic raged, canceling many holiday plans.
But now, with Memorial Day weekend unofficially kicking off the summer of 2021, and with 52.1% of Pennsylvanians adults fully vaccinated, life is returning to normal.
And lots of people will be hitting the road for the long weekend, eager to make up for lost time.
That is, unless gas prices keep them close to home.
Busy travel weekend
About 37 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more away from home this Memorial Day weekend, according to AAA.
