Rankings measured on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals
KINGSTON, ONTARIO - April 21, 2021 – Today, the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings revealed that Queen’s University has placed first in Canada and fifth in the world in its global ranking of universities that are advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within and beyond their local communities. The rankings measured over 1,200 post-secondary institutions and focused on the impact made in 17 categories measuring sustainability.

Kingston Today, Queen’s University announces the launch of Elentra Corp, an integrated teaching and learning platform that is transforming health sciences education.
Elentra was developed by a team of software developers in the Queen’s School of Medicine’s IT department in collaboration with an international consortium of 20 medical schools. Elentra Corp is the first-ever Queen’s owned and controlled corporation. Based in Kingston, Ontario, the corporation now employs 17 people in the region.
Originally intended as tool to organize data around the stringent requirements for the Queen’s School of Medicine’s accreditation process, the Elentra platform has matured into a solution that addresses the academic needs of health sciences programs including curriculum mapping, assessment and evaluation, competency based education (CBE) and online exam delivery.
