A World War II-era plane was forced to land off the coast of Cocoa Beach, Florida, after it experienced engine failure on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities are now working on getting the plane, which was part of an air show, out of the water, according to Cocoa Beach Air Show spokesperson Chris Dirato.
The only person onboard the plane, the TBM Avenger, was the pilot.

When he realised the plane was having engine problems, he initially tried to make it to the nearby Patrick Space Force Base where the air show was being held, according to Mr Dirato.

A WWII-era plane which crash-landed in the ocean during a Florida air show has been compared to pilot Chesley Sully Sullenberger s emergency landing in the Hudson.
The vintage aircraft was part of the Cocoa Beach Air Show, but a mechanical failure forced the pilot to ditch the plane on the packed beaches near the Patrick Space Force Base.
People can be heard expressing their shock as the craft comes down, and footage shows bystanders rushing towards the plane as it comes to a halt after skidding along the surface.
