SPRINGFIELD â The Illinois State Fair is excited to announce seven confirmed Illinois Lottery Grandstand acts for 2021.
This is the first time the Illinois State Fair has announced and gone on-sale with grandstand acts prior to the new year. Fairgoers who purchase grandstand tickets will receive a full refund if COVID-19 prevents the Illinois State Fair from being held.
Toby Keith takes the stage for the fair s Veterans Day on Sunday, August 15. Keith has gone on 11 USO Tours and entertained nearly 256,000 troops in 18 countries. Craig Morgan will open for the two-time Academy of Country Musicâs Entertainer of the Year.
On Tuesday, August 17, Chris Young will take the stage for Agriculture Day. The âRaised on Countryâ singer and songwriter will be accompanied by Ingrid Andress and Payton Smith.

Staind will rock the grandstand on opening night of the 2021 Illinois State Fair. Currently made up of Aaron Lewis, Mike Mushok, Johnny April and Sal Giancarelli, Staind will be performing hits like “It’s Been a While” and “Something to Remind You” on Thursday, August 12.

Over the last year, hundreds of children’s books were collected on the Kent State East Liverpool Campus that were intended to be handed out during the city’s annual holiday parade. When the parade was canceled this year because of the COVID pandemic, campus employees decided to find another way to distribute the books to local youngsters. Through a project known as Season’s Readings, Kent State East Liverpool recently donated nearly 1,500 new books combined to East Liverpool’s North Elementary School, Beaver Local elementary students and to the East Liverpool Head Start program. The North Elementary PTA included the books in gift bags prepared for each of its students that included pajamas, t-shirts and other items. The books from Kent State were donated by employees, students, local businesses and the former Auxiliary from East Liverpool City Hospital or purchased with monetary donations.
