For the first time since 1940, Michigan State didn’t have a player selected in the NFL draft.
Michigan State will have a chance to start a new streak next year. However, there are no players on the roster that appear to be anything close to a lock to be picked. Seniors need to step up and it will likely take huge performances for others to leave school early and expect to get selected.
Michigan State QB target AJ Duffy commits to Florida State

Michigan State’s search for a quarterback in the next recruiting class just hit a snag.
AJ Duffy, a 2022 four-star quarterback from IMG Academy in Florida, announced his commitment to Florida State on Wednesday night. Duffy had Michigan State in his top three, along with Florida State and Arizona State.
Duffy initially planned on announcing a commitment on March 31 but pushed back that date. He visited Arizona State and Florida State for their spring games and was in East Lansing over the weekend to watch Michigan State’s open spring practice.

The latest departure from East Lansing comes in redshirt junior quarterback Theo Day, who becomes the ninth player to leave the program since Saturday’s spring practice finale, and 25th player overall from last season’s roster.
