3 American Heroes Posed For Photo Together In Chattanooga In 2003 Sunday, May 9, 2021 - by Earl Freudenberg
Retired Brigadier General Carl Levi recently sent me a very special picture of three American Heroes. Charles Coolidge, Desmond Doss and Pat Brady all were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
The men were present in 2003 for the Armed Forces Day Luncheon in Chattanooga. General Brady, a retired Major General and the most decorated solider of Viet Nam, was the guest speaker. While General Brady was here Mr. Levi took Brady to see Coolidge at Chattanooga Printing - the business the Coolidge family has operated in Chattanooga for over a hundred years. All three men became very close friends comparing stories of their military years.

MASSENA – New public health guidelines will allow more students in classrooms beginning Monday, but transportation and cafeteria challenges could bring complications for some.
In a presentation Monday Superintendent Pat Brady said the district is looking forward to getting more students in classrooms and many students will be able to return to four-day per week in-classroom learning thanks to new guidance that reduces the physical distancing requirement from six-feet to 3-feet in classrooms.
There are exceptions, students must maintain 6-foot distancing in common areas and when eating or projecting their voices though singing or other activities.

MASSENA – Massena Central School’s $59.7 million spending plan increases spending by 3%, but keeps the tax levy flat at $14.83 million.
Superintendent Pat Brady said boosts in aid allowed the district to keep the tax levy stable and will likely lead to a reduction in the tax rate once the assessments are set. The current tax rate is $19.58 per $1,000 of assessed value. Because the Massena Central School District includes property in the towns of Massena, Louisville, Brasher and Norfolk, individual tax rates for each town can have some variation.
“The District received stronger than anticipated state and federal revenues. In 2020-21 our Foundation Aid was frozen and the state began to withhold 20% of our aid due to state deficits largely caused by the pandemic. Therefore, schools began to prepare for the worse in 2021-22 but then the state budget outlook began to improve due to
