Sanwo-Olu sets to inaugurate 1.4 km Agege Pen Cinema flyover On By Olasunkanmi Akoni Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is scheduled to flag off the iconic 1.4 kilometre Pen Cinema FlyOver Bridge, Agege, tomorrow, Friday, March 5, 2021. Recall that the bridge was initially scheduled to be commissioned about last week but was rescheduled due to exigencies. The Agege Pen Cinema Flyover project started in 2017 under the last administration of Akinwunmi Ambode. Sanwo-Olu in line with his promise of completing all ongoing projects across the state visited the project site in January 2020 for assessment. Sanwo-Olu again visited the project site in December 2020 to ensure that all was in order for its commissioning in the best possible time.

Sanwo-Olu: Rebuilding of Lagos Must Commence Immediately

Femi Gbajabiamila and the Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa have called for the rebuilding of Lagos. The trio and others spoke at the 16th edition of the Executive/ Legislative Parley at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, with the theme: A Consensus Agenda for Rebuilding Lagos. The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic that ravaged the entire world and subsequent EndSARS protest, which left in it trails unimaginable destruction of public and private properties in the State, the parley is aimed at ensuring consensus of all stakeholders on issues that are germane to the development of the State.

Abiodun sends list of OGSIEC nominees to Assembly

Punch Newspapers Sections Daud Olatunji, Abeokuta AHEAD of the forthcoming Local Government Council elections, the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has sent a list of five nominees to be considered for appointment into the State Independent Electoral Commission. Those on the list are: Babatunde Osibodu (Chairman-designate), Olatunji Akoni, Tajudeen Omoloja, Ayodele Bankole and Mrs. Gbemi Onasanya as members -designate. Speaker of the State Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, read the governor’s letter dated February 19, 2021 during plenary, at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Tuesday. The letter read in part, “In furtherance of our desire to improve the quality-of-service delivery to the good people of Ogun State, Mr. Speaker, please find attached the list and curriculum vitae of nominees for the post of Chairman and members of the State Independent Electoral Service Commission for your consideration.”
