BACOLOD CITY – The city government here is currently conducting surveillance testing after 24 City Hall employees at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) contracted COVID-19.
Dr. Edwin Miraflor, officer-in-charge of the City Health Office (CHO), said that about 65 employees assigned at the City Engineer’s Office (CEO), City Treasurer’s Office, Sangguniang Panlungsod, Emergency Operations Center, City Mayor’s Office, and Registrar’s Office joined the surveillance testing at the BCGC Monday.
Miraflor said the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) had already conducted disinfection at the BCGC building during the Holy Week.
The CHO recorded that four city employees tested positive for the virus on April 4 and another 14 employees contracted the virus last week, followed by six more cases.
