CAPE TOWN - Suspected gang kingpin Jerome Donkie Booysen is accused of having played a pivotal role in a suspected mandrax syndicate in the Western Cape between 2013 and 2017.
Booysen, along with five others, handed themselves over to authorities on Thursday and were then arrested following an intelligence-driven operation on suspicion of drug dealing and drug trafficking.

CAPE TOWN - Suspected Cape Town gang kingpin Jerome Booysen is one of six people who were arrested by the Hawks in connection with running a Mandrax syndicate.
Booysen, who goes by the alias Donkie , appeared in the Bellville Magistrates Court on Thursday along with his co-accused.
It s the second time Booysen has been arrested since December.
The Hawks said Booysen and his co-accused were apprehended after handing themselves over to the authorities.

CAPE TOWN - A woman and teenage boys accused of murdering a Parow man are expected to apply for bail later this month.
Jamie-Lee Moses (21) and her three co-accused, aged between 15 and 17, appeared in the Bellville Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
They were taken into custody more than two weeks ago in connection with Vincent Bartes s murder at his Welgelegen home.
The State alleges the four accused tortured Bartes, who was burnt with boiling water and was stabbed several times.
